Singapore to London – About the Expedition

Organised by the 4×4 World Explorer and the Landrover Owners Club of Singapore

4×4 World Explorer is heading to the Land of the Vikings this year in conjunction with Singapore’s 50th Anniversary of Independence (SG-50) celebration on the 9th August 2015.

Joining hands with the Landrover Owners Club of Singapore, the event will flag off from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur on the 9th and 10th August 2015 respectively, passing through 15 countries in total and covering approximately 22,000km in a 66 days epic journey of Adventure, Discovery and Friendship.

Approximately 60+ selected participants in approx. 20 4×4 units will undertake this historical expedition, transversing through bustling and ancient cities, historical towns, remote campsites and out of this world breathtaking sceneries.

The route will take participants through the mystical Tibetan plateau, base camp of Mt. Everest and the lesser-travelled area of Western Tibet, commonly known as Ngari (A-Li). High altitude driving at approximately 5000 metres will be experienced along the way before exiting into Kyrgyzstan. Entering the last frontier into Kazakhstan and onwards to Russia. Convoy will spend TWO nights in the capital city of Moscow as well as the UNESCO cultural capital Saint Petersburg,, before entering into Finland.

From there onwards, convoy will head north to the North Cape, driving through out-of-this-world Fjords of the Norwegian Coast before heading south to Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Netherlands and finally LONDON!!!

66 days and approximately 22,000km later, all participants bid farewell in London and fly home while their vehicles will be shipped back by containers.
